The NITTY GRITTY

My Process

My inspiration is drawn from various sources and it is enriched by the valuable feedback from users. This feedback not only ensures client satisfaction but also helps refine and enhance my skills. I believe that thoughtful design has the power to alleviate stress and transform our perceptions of the world around us.

⭐️ I create and utilize design systems.

⭐️ I understand business constraints and work to create a strategy that fits within those constraints.

⭐️ I've worked on complex applications and worked to solve user problems to bring clarity.

PLANning & discovery

In the initial stages of a project, I begin by reviewing the requirements and participating in kickoff meetings to gather additional requirements. This phase is crucial for understanding user needs and involves several key activities:

• User research
• Competitor analysis
• Generate user surveys and interviews (or shadowing the user)
• Analyze data
• Understand workflow processes

BUILD

During the build process, I find continual communication works best. Having those conversations with the users, product owner, stakeholders, and the dev team to ensure that the designs are according to the requirements. Validate and evaluate the design in order to identify areas where improvements are needed. This phase includes:

• Generate ideas and brainstorm (initial hand sketches)
• Create userflows of use cases
• Create wireframes
• Gather feedback from users and stakeholders
• Usability Testing

Follow-Up

Typically, follow-up is constant. Prior to the dev team beginning production, I tend to continually involve the stakeholders, PMs, and development to ensure that the designs can be adequately reproduced into code.

• Iterate based on feedback from users and stakeholders
• Stakeholder sign-off
